    Lara Logan

    Lara Logan:

    Born on March 29, 1971 in Durban South Africa, Lara Logan is a highly accomplished journalist and a war correspondent. Currently, she is working at the CBS News as the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for the popular investigative television newsmagazine, 60 Minutes. Lara is regarded as a fearless reporter, who doesn’t think twice before taking risks. After the September 11th 2001 terror attacks in New York City, Lara managed to enter Afghanistan and even went to the extent of establishing contact with General Babajan at Bagram Air Base. Later on, Lara Logan was designated as an officially embedded reporter with the American forces operating in Afghanistan. Then in the year 2006, Logan was promoted to chief foreign correspondent of CBS News.

    One of the most daring reporting assignments of Logan’s career happened in the Iraqi city of Haifa. After the Haifa gun battle, Logan submitted her report to CBS station to go on air, but due to graphic nature of the video, CBS refused to play it to the public. After a lot of public support and in the quest of showing the real battle field, Logan used some of the Haifa Street material in a 60 Minutes and requests the viewers to pass on the link as far as possible.

    Robin Meade

    Robin Meade:

    Born on April 21, 1969, in New London, Ohio, Robin Meade is the host cum news anchor for Morning Express with Robin Meade, that is a CNN Headline News morning news. Robin came into the world of journalism, when she started working at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio as a reporter. Moving on, she then took the role of an anchorwoman and a reporter at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WJW-TV in Cleveland. Later on she joined WMAQ-TV in the capacity of an anchor for the morning news and also as a co-anchor for the weekend news. Along with her anchor duties, she also worked as a general assignment correspondent. In the year 1996, being an NBC affiliate, she got the opportunity to cover the 1996 Olympics. It was during this time, that she came up with an excellent coverage of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing. Currently, Robin Meade is working with CNN and has covered various issues, including the war in Afghanistan, also known as ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’. She also extensively covered the US invasion of Iraq in in the year 2003, also known as ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’.

    Kiran Chetry

    Kiran Chetry:

    Born on August 26, 1974 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Kiran Chetry is a CNN correspondent and the co-anchor for the morning news program, American Morning. In February 2008, Kiran Chetry left FOX news channel due to a contract conflict and just after an hour of quitting Fox, she was immediately hired by CNN. At CNN, Chetry began to work as a CNN anchor and a correspondent. She also served as a co host for American Morning along with the immensely famous Anderson Cooper 360 on the very evening of joining CNN.

    Apart from the anchoring of American Morning, Kiran Chetry has also covered various big stories, such as the shooting massacre at Virginia Tech and also had the opportunity to interview high profile newsmakers such as American First Lady Laura Bush and Senator (R) John McCain. At the time of her induction in CNN, Kiran said, “CNN is the gold standard when it comes to journalism, and I am thrilled to be part of the team.”
